Carl Byers is a Partner with operating experience in healthcare IT. He was on the founding team at athenahealth, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATHN), serving as Chief Financial Officer from 1997 to 2010, where he built the company's financial systems, led multiple financing rounds, and directed its 2007 IPO. Earlier he was a Senior Consultant at Booz, Allen & Hamilton, and he now teaches finance as an Adjunct Lecturer at Harvard's Chan School of Public Health.

Chong Xu is a Partner at F-Prime who focuses on the biopharmaceutical and medical technology sectors, and collaborates with the Eight Roads Ventures Asia team on portfolio companies and investments in China. Allison MacLeod is CMO of Flywire (Nasdaq: FLYW), where she has led marketing and revenue operations since 2019, expanding teams across APAC and EMEA and supporting the company's 2021 IPO. She previously spent seven years at Rapid7 building demand generation, business development, and operations functions, and earlier held digital and field roles at Forrester. She holds a Master of Arts in Integrated Marketing from Emerson College and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Amber Cai is a Venture Partner at F-Prime, working on early-stage biotechnology investments. She is the founding CEO of Skyline Therapeutics, a gene and cell therapy company, and was previously a founding member of Novartis' R&D Center in China, later serving as its Head of Operations after helping establish the center from 2005-2006; earlier she worked in business development at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research in Cambridge, MA. She holds a PhD from MIT in GPCR signaling and an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management.

Bobby Gaspar is a physician and scientist with over 25 years of experience in medicine and biotechnology, serving as a Venture Partner at F-Prime Capital. He is a scientific founder and CEO of Orchard Therapeutics, a gene therapy company acquired by Kyowa Kirin, and has worked extensively on hematopoietic stem cell gene therapy for primary immune deficiencies. He is an honorary professor of pediatrics and immunology at UCL's Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health, studied medicine and surgery at King's College London, and completed his PhD at UCL.

Carlos Bustamante joined F-Prime Capital as a Venture Partner in January 2019, focusing on applying data science and genomics technology to problems in medicine, agriculture, and biology. He is on leave from Stanford University, where he is a Professor of Biomedical Data Science, Genetics, and Biology, and was founding Director of the Stanford Center for Computational, Evolutionary, and Human Genomics as well as the inaugural chair of its Department of Biomedical Data Science. He holds a PhD in Biology and an MS in Statistics from Harvard University.

Catherine Stehman-Breen is a Venture Partner at F-Prime focused on new company creation, with over 30 years of experience in medicine and biopharmaceuticals. She previously served as CEO of Chroma Medicine, Chief Research and Development Officer at Obsidian Therapeutics, Entrepreneur in Residence at Atlas Venture, and Chief Medical Officer at Sarepta Therapeutics, and held leadership roles at Regeneron and Amgen. She holds an MD from the University of Chicago and an MS in epidemiology from the University of Washington, where she remains an affiliate associate professor in the School of Public Health.

Eric Blatte joined F-Prime Capital as a Venture Partner in 2021, where he focuses on executive leadership and go-to-market functions in technology and cybersecurity companies. He has founded and helped lead companies from startup to over $100 million in revenue, including RiskRecon (acquired by Mastercard), Trusteer (acquired by IBM), Imprivata (IPO), and Centra Software (IPO). He holds an undergraduate degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from MIT Sloan.

Abby Wagner joined F-Prime Capital in September 2024 as a Senior Accountant. She previously worked as an Assurance Senior at Ernst & Young, LLP, focusing on private clients in the wealth and asset management industry. She holds an MBA and a BS in Accounting with a minor in Finance from Auburn University.

Abdul Abdirahman is a Principal at F-Prime Capital, concentrating on early-stage B2B software and fintech investments. Before F-Prime, he invested in emerging markets technology startups and worked with a venture-backed digital banking and payments startup in East Africa. He started his career in financial services, providing assurance and valuation work for venture capital, private equity, and hedge funds in New York and London, and holds B.A. and B.S. degrees from the University of Minnesota along with joint MBA and MPA/ID degrees from Stanford's Graduate School of Business and the Harvard Kennedy School.

Allan Galper is Vice President and Associate General Counsel at Fidelity Investments, where he supports the F-Prime team on legal matters including portfolio company investments and exits, fund formation, and fund administration. He joined Fidelity in 2012 from McCarter & English, where he was a partner in the Corporate, Securities and Business Transactions Practice Group, and earlier worked as an associate at Willkie Farr & Gallagher. He earned a B.A. from Harvard University and a J.D. from Fordham Law School, and is admitted to the Massachusetts and New York bars.

Andrew Bognanni is Director of Finance at F-Prime, which he joined in April 2022 to support the firm's finance and operations teams. He previously served as a Manager at Standish Management and worked in the audit practice at RSM. He holds an M.S. in Accounting from Northeastern University.

Betsy Mulé is a Principal at F-Prime, concentrating on early-stage investments in enterprise technology and robotics. Before F-Prime, she worked as a strategy consultant at Mars & Co., advising Fortune 500 companies across the US, Latin America, and Europe. Cathy Wong joined F-Prime as Senior Director of Finance in July 2023 and has over 14 years of accounting and finance experience. She previously served as a Controller in GP Services and the management company at THL, and earlier held accounting and tax roles at Blackstone, Bain Capital, Bain & Company, and PricewaterhouseCoopers. She earned a B.S. in Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting and Finance from Boston University and is a CPA in Massachusetts.

Chance Mathisen is an Associate at F-Prime Capital, focusing on early-stage enterprise software investments. He previously worked as a consultant in Accenture's Software & Platforms Strategy practice, advising hyperscalers and technology companies on go-to-market, product, and market expansion. He holds a B.S. in Managerial Economics from the University of California, Davis.

Claire Knowlton joined F-Prime in 2025 as a Marketing Associate, where she supports marketing initiatives through event planning and internal communications. She previously worked at an estate planning law firm on email and social media marketing. She holds a BA in Marketing from Loyola University Chicago.

Clay Basser-Wall is the Chief Compliance Officer of F-Prime, with over two decades of legal and compliance experience. Prior to joining the firm in 2020, he oversaw inside information compliance and employee trade monitoring at Fidelity's Ethics Office, served as an Enforcement Attorney at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, and worked as an associate at the law firms Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati and Brobeck Phleger & Harrison. He earned a law degree from Vanderbilt University School of Law and a B.A. from Sonoma State University.

Connie Li is a Principal on the life sciences team at F-Prime, where she concentrates on biotechnology investments and helps manage the firm's China investment efforts alongside the Eight Roads Ventures China team. She joined F-Prime in 2019 and previously worked as a consultant at IQVIA in New York, advising biopharmaceutical companies on commercial, development, and portfolio strategy. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MS from Harvard's Department of Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology, and a BSE in Bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania.

Crissy Derome joined F-Prime Capital in 2024, supporting the Crypto team, and serves as Project Coordinator for Fine Structure Ventures, handling executive operations and scheduling. She previously held senior administrative roles at Fidelity Investments and Devonshire Investors, supporting executives in Corporate Development, Fidelity Labs, and Asset Management, and spent over a decade at Shields Health Care Group in administrative operations. She holds a degree in Paralegal Studies from Eastern Nazarene College and is a certified Notary Public in Massachusetts.

Davina Magargal is the Head of Marketing at F-Prime Capital, where she oversees brand strategy, communications, and marketing initiatives. She previously handled investor communications at Excel Venture Management, led marketing at Globespan Capital Partners and JAFCO Ventures, and held operations and marketing roles at Tradition Financial Services. She holds a BA from Cedar Crest College.

Debbie Griffin is Chief Financial Officer at F-Prime, where she supports the finance and administrative functions for Life Sciences and Fine Structure Ventures. She first joined F-Prime in 2013, spent 10 years there in various finance roles, and rejoined in April 2026 after serving as CFO at Human Capital, a San Francisco venture capital firm. Derrick Williams is the Receptionist at F-Prime, having joined in October 2018. Before that, he spent five years in the security field with Northeast Security. He studied Computer Networking Operations at Gibbs College.

Eleni Russell is Senior Director of Finance at F-Prime, which she joined in 2018, and has more than 15 years of experience in venture capital and private equity. She previously worked as an Accounting Manager at Fidelity Investments, overseeing venture capital and private equity entities within the Corporate Accounting group, and earlier as a senior accountant at TVM Capital. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Suffolk University.

Elizabeth Lamb is an Executive Assistant at F-Prime Capital Partners, which she joined in July 2025 before moving into a full-time role in March 2026 supporting several members of the team. She previously held Executive Assistant positions at startups and pharmaceutical companies including Kura Oncology, GNS Healthcare, and Vertex, and spent 17 years in the Legal Department at Fidelity Investments. She earned an AS in Computer Programming and an AA in Liberal Arts from Keene State College.

Erica Lee is a Principal at F-Prime, where she focuses on investments in healthcare technology and services companies. She joined the firm in 2021 after working as an investment banking associate at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, advising on IPO and M&A transactions in healthcare IT. She holds a B.A. in Finance and International Business from Georgetown University.

Stephen Knight is a Yale-trained MD/MBA physician-investor with Bell Labs and NIH roots and biotech operating experience who co-founds platform companies and works with academics to spin out science.
