Investment thesis
Aisling Capital invests in companies developing and commercializing important, innovative healthcare products, services, and technologies. Since 2000, the firm has built a track record of deploying and returning capital, managing $1.8 billion in assets. Kherani, an MD, joined Aisling in 2008 as an Operating Partner. He was previously an Engagement Manager at McKinsey and a Chief Resident in Surgery at Duke. He serves as CMO of Ajax Health and Zeus Health. He holds an MD and BS/AB from Duke University.
Schiff, an MD, joined Aisling in 2000 as a Managing Partner. He practiced internal medicine for six years at New York Presbyterian Hospital and remains a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine. He holds an MD from Cornell, an MBA from Columbia, and a BS from Brown.
Aguiar, an MD, joined Aisling in 2016 as a Partner. He was previously a partner at Thomas, McNerney and Partners and a Managing Director at HealthCare Ventures, and served as CEO of Genovo. He holds an MD from Harvard and a BA from Cornell.
Bilenker, an MD, joined Aisling in 2006 and has been an Operating Partner since 2014. He served as CEO of portfolio company Loxo Oncology until its acquisition by Eli Lilly and is now CEO and co-founder of Treeline Biosciences. He holds an MD from Johns Hopkins and an AB from Princeton.

Tansey joined Aisling in 2020 and manages relationships with the firm's limited partners while supporting fundraising and marketing. She previously spent ten years at GAMCO Investors. She holds a BA in Economics from the University of Michigan.
