Investment thesis
DDF backs bold entrepreneurs across the full spectrum of company and asset stages within dementia therapeutics, and creates new biotech companies itself where none exist. Its mandate is to interrogate novel hypotheses and expand the breadth of targets and mechanisms for dementia therapies, investing in early-stage projects from target identification onward to translate novel biology into disease-modifying drugs. Covering Alzheimer's and other dementias such as PDD, FTD, ALS and HD, the fund pursues a dual mandate of delivering measurable patient impact and generating strong financial returns, drawing on a network of venture partners, entrepreneurs, scientists and strategic pharmaceutical partners.
