Investment thesis

BXLS collaborates with leading pharmaceutical, biotech and medical technology companies to fund and advance late-stage clinical development of critical-path products addressing unmet medical needs. It combines clinical, commercial and operational expertise with Blackstone's global network, capital access and infrastructure to select and advance promising products and companies. The strategy aims to fill a funding gap between the demand for development capital and what pharma and MedTech R&D budgets can supply. BXLS seeks attractive, largely market- and interest-rate-uncorrelated returns at lower risk by capturing value directly from the products it funds rather than through equity exposure, sometimes forming and growing companies around promising clinical assets.
