Investment thesis
Kapor Capital backs early-stage, industry-transforming startups whose products expand access and create economic opportunity for low-income communities and underrepresented communities of color. Investing at pre-seed, seed, and Series A, the firm looks for founders motivated to improve the lives of people in underserved communities. It helps portfolio companies build foundational social impact and diversity and inclusion plans appropriate to their stage, and requires reporting on these commitments in investor updates. Beyond capital, Kapor offers tailored support including people-ops technology and anti-bias training, a talent network connecting candidates with founders, and hands-on help with strategy, growth, and fundraising.
