Investment thesis
Cloudstone invests in emerging high-tech fields, having begun with Fund I across healthtech, AI, mobile technologies, robotics and advanced manufacturing. Building on Fund I, the firm expanded its GP team for Fund II to focus exclusively on healthtech across four verticals: medical devices, bio pharma, AI and digital health, and genomics and personalized medicine. Its stated mission is to improve global health and well-being. The firm emphasizes proprietary deal sourcing through academic and medical networks such as Stanford Biodesign and the Fogarty Institute, reviewing more than 300 companies annually. Beyond capital, Cloudstone supports portfolio companies with FDA 510k compliance, follow-on financing, and strategic partnering.
