Chuck Chamness is an Advisor at Sandbox Insurtech, having previously spent 18 years as President and CEO of the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC), where he also chaired the professional liability insurer NAMICO. Earlier in his career, he served in the first Bush administration as deputy assistant secretary for public affairs at HUD under Jack Kemp and held roles on Capitol Hill. He holds a B.A. from Indiana University.

Thomas Schenk is a physician and healthcare executive who joined Sandbox in 2021 as an advisor to Sandbox Clinical Ventures and the Blue Venture Funds. He previously served as Executive Vice President of Healthcare Services and Provider Network and Chief Medical Officer of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Western New York and Blue Shield of Northeastern New York, and has advised early and commercial stage companies in areas such as sleep medicine, rare diseases, cancer survivorship, and care management. He holds an MD from the University at Buffalo's Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and a BS in Microbiology and Biochemistry from Cornell University.

Israel Rollins is founder of BoardKit, a governance infrastructure platform, and managing partner of Aligned Health Ventures, a venture firm investing in AI-enabled companies addressing cardiometabolic disease, behavioral health, maternal and pediatric health, oncology, and specialty care infrastructure. With background as a clinical pharmacist and prior executive roles at HCA, MD Anderson, and Mercer, Rollins has focused on governance and accountability frameworks within healthcare institutions. Aligned Health Ventures invests at seed stage in companies addressing high-burden clinical conditions with identified economic buyers, and provides BoardKit governance tools to all portfolio companies.

Thomas Priselac joined Sandbox in 2025 as an advisor to Sandbox Clinical Ventures and the Blue Venture Funds. He spent many years as an executive at Cedars-Sinai, serving as President and CEO of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center from 1994 and later President and CEO of Cedars-Sinai Health System, and holds the Warschaw/Law endowed Chair in Healthcare Leadership there. He earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Washington and Jefferson College and a master's in public health from the University of Pittsburgh.

Alex Behar brings a market-structure-first climate investing approach, combining seed-technology and farmers’ derivatives work, CVC design for a mining firm across agriculture, energy and water, and antitrust and emerging-markets expertise.

Ashley Carnegie joined Sandbox Industries in 2022 as an Executive Assistant, providing executive support to Dr. Tom Hawes and Kelsey Maguire and operational support to the investment team. She previously worked at distressed debt investing firm Strategic Value Partners, supporting the Investment Team and General Counsel. She holds a BA in Psychology from Southern Connecticut State University.

Emily Warren joined Sandbox Industries in 2023 as an Executive Assistant, where she supports internal team structure, client relationships, and event planning, and provides executive support to Emir Sandhu. Before Sandbox, she was a teacher in the Special Education, Autism Spectrum department at Broward County Public Schools. She holds a BA in Early Childhood Education from John Carroll University and an MA in Leadership in Special Education from Notre Dame of Maryland.

Ivy Wang joined Sandbox Industries in 2022 as a Manager in consulting. She previously worked at Deloitte Consulting, focusing on operational transformation engagements for healthcare payers. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Actuarial Science from NYU Stern School of Business.

Jessica Scheets joined Sandbox Industries in 2017 as a Vice President of Operations, where she works on operational processes and investment workflows and manages client relationships in the insurance sector. She previously held team management roles at the Association Management Center and AmeriCorps. She holds a degree in Public Health from the University of South Carolina.

Kamie Marsillo has been Chief of Staff in the Office of the CEO at Sandbox Industries since 2022, where she supports the firm's two CEOs. Before joining Sandbox, she worked at CVS Health as a Learning and Development Senior Consultant and previously as an Executive Assistant. She holds a BA in Marketing from Western International University.

Kelly Carlquist is a Vice President at Sandbox Industries, which she joined in 2020, where she focuses on healthcare services and delivery across all stages. Before Sandbox, she was an Associate on the Primary Investment Team at Adams Street Partners and began her career in Product Strategy at Goldman Sachs's Investment Management Division. Michelle Gouveia is a Vice President at Sandbox Industries, which she joined in 2019, focusing on data and analytics, product distribution, and B2B technology businesses within the insurance sector across stages from seed to buyout. Before Sandbox, he worked as a Fund CFO Analyst at DWS Group, covering institutional real estate funds within the portfolio management group. He earned MS and BBA degrees in Finance from the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business.
