Investment thesis

Lightstone Ventures pursues a thesis-driven life sciences strategy focused on biotech and medtech. In biotech it seeks first-in-class drugs across all modalities including small molecules, biologics, and cell and gene therapies, with emphasis on CNS, immunology and autoimmune diseases, oncology, and ophthalmology. In medtech it targets the convergence of technology, medicine, and consumer health, including personalized medicines, targeted therapeutics leveraging data analytics, and medical technologies addressing immunology, cardiovascular, neurology, and ophthalmology. The firm invests with long-term, patient capital funding companies from startup through commercialization, and partners hands-on with founders on strategy and company building rather than simply providing capital.
