Investment thesis
The Charter School Growth Fund identifies top-performing US public charter schools and funds their growth to expand impact and improve student outcomes. As a national nonprofit, it makes multi-year philanthropic grants to talented education leaders building networks of excellent charter schools. Beyond funding, it supports portfolio members through peer learning opportunities, convenings, and a CEO leadership practice where charter leaders exchange ideas and tackle shared challenges. Its Impact Team invests in solutions across academics, talent, finance/operations, and college/career access, while a Structured Finance Team offers low-interest loans and technical support for school facilities. To date it has funded over 1,600 schools serving more than 725,000 students across 32 states, DC, and Puerto Rico.
