Accion pursues financial inclusion as a means to reduce poverty and expand opportunity for underserved populations globally. It identifies and helps build innovative companies capable of reaching large numbers of underserved people, accelerating their growth through capital investment as well as strategic governance and advisory support. Through Accion Advisory, it designs, tests, and deploys affordable digital financial products, while the Center for Financial Inclusion, an independent think tank, conducts research on consumer protection, women's economic inclusion, data risks and opportunities, and climate change to advance responsible financial systems.
