Investment thesis
Blackbird Giants is a community initiative for aspiring, early-stage founders in Australia and New Zealand who are exploring and validating startup ideas. Rather than a traditional accelerator, it focuses on building real relationships, offering weekly in-person gatherings, 1-1 mentoring with Blackbird portfolio founders, operators and investment team members, and shared founder practices. The program is free and takes no equity. It targets first-time and idea-stage founders who have been working on their idea for less than two years, excluding agencies, services businesses, charities and lifestyle businesses. The aim is to help ambitious people forge pathways into the ANZ startup ecosystem and turn ideas into reality.
