Achilleas Gravanis is a Professor of Pharmacology at the University of Crete's School of Medicine and a Collaborating Researcher at the Institute Molecular Biology-Biotechnology (IMBB-FORTH). He holds an Affiliate Professor position at Northeastern University's Faculty of Pharmacy and has served in leadership roles across multiple European scientific organizations, including Vice-President of the Hellenic Pharmacological Society and member of the steering committee of the European Pharmacology Network. Gravanis has authored 174 peer-reviewed publications and co-founded ReNeuroCell Therapeutics, while also serving as an affiliated principal investigator with Emulate, a biotechnology spinoff of the Wyss Institute and Harvard University.
