Uniseed is a commercialisation fund that backs researchers and early-stage technologies coming out of its partner research organisations, aiming to turn academic ideas into commercial products and services. It provides seed capital to progress and de-risk innovations both technically and commercially, alongside mentoring, access to a network of industry experts and co-investors, and support with commercialisation strategy and intellectual property. The fund invests across a broad range of technology sectors and prioritises innovations that solve market problems and deliver positive community impact. It has made investments in around 70 start-ups and has achieved twelve exits to date.
