Investment thesis
Virescent Ventures believes emissions impact and commercial impact can go hand in hand, targeting investments that address the largest and hardest-to-abate sources of emissions. The firm anticipates a decade in which new companies remake the physical economy much as the internet transformed the digital world. It backs founders across the full lifecycle, from pre-seed through late-stage growth capital, supporting companies as their needs evolve. Its investments span deep tech and business model innovation, across both software and hardware. Virescent Ventures grew out of the Clean Energy Innovation Fund, part of the Clean Energy Finance Corporation.
