Investment thesis
Oktogon Ventures invests in early-stage, technology-heavy B2B SaaS companies with global ambition founded by entrepreneurs from Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland, Croatia, Romania, Slovenia and Bulgaria. It targets companies already generating revenue (MRR of at least €10k) and seeks minority stakes rather than buyouts, believing motivated founders drive success. The fund writes initial tickets of €100k-€400k in €0.5mn-€5mn rounds, typically as a co-investor, and can invest up to €1.2mn per company via follow-on rounds. It leverages local roots, operational expertise and a global network to provide mentoring, coaching, sales, hiring and fundraising support, co-investing alongside firms such as Insight Partners, Partech, Lakestar and Lightspeed.
