Amanda Hjorring is a partner and COO at Square Peg, covering general counsel and operations, and has handled the negotiation and execution of more than 200 fundraisings while supporting portfolio founders with legal and commercial matters. She previously worked as a CFO with experience in financial services, including investment financing and management at USB, Babcock & Brown, and other asset managers. She holds a double degree in Law and Commerce with a major in Finance.

Dan Krasnostein is a Partner at Square Peg who joined in 2012 in Melbourne, moved to Tel Aviv in 2014 to establish and run the firm's Israeli business, and returned to Melbourne in late 2020 to lead its Australian investment team. He began his career as a management consultant before taking a corporate strategy role at SEEK.

Leila Lee is a CFA and Partner and Head of Distribution at Square Peg, which she joined in 2017, where she manages capital raising and investor relations for the firm's venture capital and listed tech equities funds. She previously worked with institutional investors, family offices and financial advisors, and served as an Executive Director in the Institutional Sales team at Goldman Sachs Asset Management. She holds committee roles including on the Trinity College (University of Melbourne) Investment Committee and the St Catherine's School Finance Committee.

Philippe Schwartz is a General Partner at Square Peg Capital, which he joined as a Venture Partner in 2014 and became General Partner in 2015. He invests in early-stage founders, with a focus on AI infrastructure, and previously served as President of Withings Inc., founder and CEO of ooVoo, and Divisional CEO at MRV Communications, along with service as an officer in the Israeli Navy. He holds a BSc in Information System Engineering from the Technion and an MBA from INSEAD.

Piruze Sabuncu is a Partner at Square Peg who invests in fintech, AI, and SaaS companies. She previously established and grew Stripe's Southeast Asia operations as the region's first employee, managing the Southeast Asia and Greater China markets, and earlier worked as an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company, co-founded a consumer healthcare company, and worked at Dell. She holds a BBA from ODTU, studied at the University of Texas, and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Tony Holt is a co-founder and partner of Square Peg Capital, where he has worked for over 12 years. Before Square Peg, he spent more than 20 years in finance across Melbourne, New York, Hong Kong, and Sydney. His background is in technology investing and advising.

Tushar Roy joined Square Peg in 2015 and, after investing across Australia and Southeast Asia, opened the firm's Singapore office in 2020, where he now focuses on Southeast Asia. He has worked with founders in fintech, SaaS, and AI. Before venture, he studied computer science, worked as a programmer, and spent over a decade in technology and growth advisory as a lawyer at Baker McKenzie and a management consultant at BCG. He holds an MBA from INSEAD.

Jun Wei Tan started his career at Bain & Company, where he worked on commercial due diligence and corporate strategy projects. He later spent three years in strategy and operations roles at ByteDance and Google. He is now part of Square Peg's Southeast Asia investment team.

Yonatan Sela is a Partner at Square Peg, where he leads the firm's investments in Israel. He previously served as CBO of mobile live streaming company YouNow and was a founding team member and VP of Marketing at B2B video platform Tvinci, which was acquired by Kaltura. He also co-founded Props, a crypto protocol focused on user ownership in consumer apps, and began his investing career at Venrock while working as a consultant at BCG.

Ben Hensman is a Portfolio Manager at Square Peg Capital with experience investing in technology across stages. He began his career at Fidelity International as an Investment Analyst covering listed tech, media, and telco companies, then spent five years on Square Peg's venture team working with early-stage founders before launching the firm's Global Tech Fund in 2021.

David Maher began his career at McKinsey & Company as an Engagement Manager working with clients in digital transformation and private equity. He later held global leadership roles at growth-stage companies including Lazada (Alibaba Group) and DeFi Technologies. He holds an MBA from Harvard University and degrees in Law and Politics from the University of New South Wales.

Ed Barker grew up in London and started his career in IT support before joining BCG in Sydney. At Square Peg, he now focuses on growth investments, having previously spent four years investing in Seed to Series B companies across Southeast Asia.

Gabby Bleakley is Senior Legal Counsel at Square Peg Capital, where she serves as the firm's transactions lawyer advising on the legal aspects of investments. Prior to joining Square Peg, she worked at two Australian commercial law firms, advising on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and regulatory matters.

Genevieve Watson joined Square Peg in 2025 as Financial Controller. She started her career in audit at a Big 4 firm, gained funds experience in the Cayman Islands, and later held senior finance roles at fund managers in Australia.

Jess Firth works in Square Peg's Distribution and Investor Relations team as an Analyst. She previously spent two years at EY across audit, consulting, and transactions due diligence, and worked in operations for the non-profit Ethical Technologists Society. She holds a Bachelor in Finance and Political Economy from the University of Sydney, where she was a Dalyell Scholar.

Jethro Cohen grew up south of Hobart before moving to mainland Australia to study. He began his technology career through a cadetship in PwC's IT team working on cloud migrations, then helped launch Uber Eats across APAC and later led Operations and Customer Strategy at :Different. At Square Peg he concentrates on AI applications and infrastructure, with an interest in vertical solutions.

Jono Manickam began his career in investment banking at UBS before relocating to Australia in 2022 to join McKinsey, where he worked with private equity, energy, and mining clients and later with McKinsey.org supporting non-profits globally. He is now an associate on Square Peg's Australian investment team, based in Sydney.

Luke Stevens leads operations and finance for Square Peg's investment funds, portfolios, and the firm's own business and growth. He joined Square Peg in 2020 after more than a decade as CFO and Director at global equity hedge fund Caledonia, where he worked on the firm's operations and expansion. He began his career in Chartered Accounting, including a management role at Deloitte, and is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Matt Linklater is an Investor Relations Manager at Square Peg, with experience in investor relations and distribution across corporate and funds management roles. He joined the firm in 2022 after working on the investor relations team at Coles Group following its demerger from Wesfarmers, and previously held operations, investor relations, and distribution roles at Warakirri Asset Management. He holds a Masters in Applied Finance from Macquarie University and undergraduate degrees in Business and Arts from Monash University.

Michelle Sutton joined Square Peg as Financial Controller in 2020. She started in chartered accounting before working in funds management and at a fintech startup, and now handles day-to-day finance and operations at the firm. She previously spent time in Square Peg's Singapore office before returning to Sydney.

Naman Jain joined Square Peg's finance and operations team in 2022. He previously worked at chartered accounting firms serving clients in the financial services sector, and supports the firm's day-to-day finance and operations.

Osh Jayasuriya joined Square Peg in 2021, having previously worked in investment operations at Platinum Asset Management. At the firm he works across both investments and operations, spending time on the Global Tech Fund and VC portfolios with an emphasis on valuations. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Sydney.

Paul Bassat is a co-founder and partner of Square Peg, which he helped establish in 2012 to support founders building global businesses. He previously co-founded SEEK in 1997, an Australian online employment and vocational education company. He founded and chairs AMPLIFY, a non-partisan community organisation launched in 2023.

Roy Kimchi founded a student-led venture capital initiative at Ben-Gurion University. He began his career as an Israeli special forces officer, serving 5.5 years, and later worked as a data analyst at Netafim and Intel. He focuses on ventures in data, gaming, robotics, and AI.

Sam Eden began his career at Boston Consulting Group and later worked with growth equity funds in San Francisco's tech capital practice, investing across areas including SaaS and data infrastructure. He holds an MBA from MIT and a degree in Electrical Engineering from QUT.

Tom Schifter is a Senior Associate in Square Peg's Israel office, backing Israeli founders with global ambitions. He previously worked in venture capital in London on early-stage and growth investments, and held product management roles at Amazon, Kaltura, and LitiGate, where he worked on B2B SaaS products. He started his career as an Intelligence Analyst in the Israeli Air Force and Unit 8200, and holds an MBA from London Business School and an undergraduate degree in Law and Economics from Tel Aviv University.

Tom Skevington is a lawyer at Square Peg, where he handles fund structuring, compliance, licensing, investments, and exits across the firm and its portfolio. He previously worked as a crypto lawyer at Piper Alderman and earlier as a corporate generalist lawyer at a boutique firm in Adelaide.

XY Chen is a Senior Associate at Square Peg, focused on early-stage investing in founders with global ambitions. She began her career as an investor at Temasek, working on fintech and AI investments across the US and Europe and evaluating companies at various stages. She holds a Bachelor of Computing from the National University of Singapore (including the University Scholars Programme) and an MBA from Harvard Business School, where she chaired the VCPE Conference.
