Investment thesis
Sydney Angels backs high-growth-potential Australian startups through a collaborative, team-based (syndicate) model. Its 100+ members β successful entrepreneurs and business leaders β screen hundreds of applicants across six investment cycles per year, presenting only filtered, vetted deals. Interested members form syndicates to conduct due diligence and invest together, leveraging collective wisdom, skills, and networks to help portfolio companies outperform. The group charges no fees for companies to apply. It also runs a sidecar fund (SASF) and provides follow-on funding once portfolio companies reach key milestones. Sydney Angels collaborates with peer angel groups across Australia.
