Investment thesis
The AMR Action Fund invests equity in clinical-stage, small and mid-size biotech companies developing antimicrobial therapeutics that address WHO and CDC priority pathogens. It backs both traditional small-molecule antibiotics and innovative modalities such as bacteriophages and antibody-based treatments. A globally recognized Scientific Advisory Board supports diligence across antibiotic development, clinical trial design, and manufacturing. The fund builds international syndicates with financial partners, leading or co-leading several investments per year, and leverages relationships with industry limited partners to create value in portfolio companies and drive successful exits. Its stated mission is to bring two to four new antibiotics to patients by the end of the decade.
