Lundbeckfonden is a Danish enterprise foundation whose purpose is to bring scientific discoveries to lives by actively investing in both business and science. Through its 2030 strategy it aims to double its fixed research grants in Denmark, build a clearer strategic focus on the brain, expand its portfolio of long-term healthcare ownerships, and strengthen collaboration between research and industry. Its commercial activities include Lundbeckfonden BioCapital, which backs the commercialization of breakthrough biotech science domestically and internationally, strategic long-term ownership of Denmark-rooted healthcare companies with potential to become international leaders, and management of the foundation's free assets across asset classes. It also grants over DKK 500 million annually to Danish health-science research focused mainly on the brain.
