Alex Manick is a Managing Director at Schooner Capital who works on venture and growth investments. Antonio Cienfuegos joined Schooner Capital in 2014 and serves as a Managing Director focused on the firm's direct public equity investment efforts, which he helped launch and manage. He works on investment identification, due diligence, valuation, portfolio construction and trading for the public equities portfolio across US and global markets, and also provides corporate finance and strategic support across the broader portfolio. He holds dual degrees in Financial Economics and Hispanic Studies from Columbia University.

Brian Rodgers joined Schooner Capital in 2010 and became its Controller in 2023, where he works on internal financial matters and tax preparation. Before Schooner, he spent three years in public accounting at Tonneson & Company CPA's P.C. handling attestation and tax engagements. He holds an undergraduate degree and a Master's of Accounting from the University of New Hampshire and is a licensed CPA in Massachusetts.

Carl Albrecht Becker is an Associate at Schooner Capital working on venture and growth investments. Before joining the firm, he was a Consultant at Bain & Company and held roles at startups and larger companies including Volkswagen and Deutsche Telekom. He earned a BSc and MSc in Business Administration and Electrical Power Engineering from RWTH Aachen University and an MBA from MIT Sloan.

Chan Won is an Analyst at Schooner Capital working on public equity investment opportunities, supporting the process from idea generation through diligence, valuation, and execution, as well as portfolio monitoring. He joined the firm after graduating from New York University with dual degrees in Finance and Data Science. Before Schooner, he was the sole analyst at a consumer-focused public equity fund and a summer associate in Temasek's investment group.

Isabel Vinson is an Operations Associate at Schooner Capital and the Schooner Foundation, where she oversees day-to-day operations and serves as the firm's benefits administrator. At the foundation, she works with the Executive Director on the internship program, communications, and operations. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and French, with minors in Criminal Justice and European Studies, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Jon Corbett is Managing Director and CFO of Schooner Capital, named to the CFO role in 2024 after serving as VP Finance from 2018 and Controller from 2011. He oversees Schooner's accounting, finance operations, and tax compliance, supports its public equities efforts, and works with several private portfolio companies, including a directorship at SRS Medical. Before Schooner, he spent over a decade in public accounting at Tonneson + Co, holds a business degree from Merrimack College and a Master of Science in Taxation from Bentley University, and is a CPA in Massachusetts.

Julia Pettengill is Executive Director of the Schooner Foundation, where she directs global grantmaking and operations across more than eighty partnerships in areas including human rights, global health equity, mental health, education, and environmental resilience. She has developed and managed philanthropic funds such as the Foundation's crisis response fund and global mental health portfolio. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Education from the University of Cape Town.

Laurie Finkielsztein is a Senior Associate at Schooner Capital, working on early and growth stage investments. Before Schooner, she was on the investment team at Fifth Wall and started her career in investment banking within the TMT group at Goldman Sachs. She holds a degree in Computer Science from Brown University.

Lou Stathis joined Schooner Capital in 2005 as a staff accountant, handling accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and payroll. He previously worked as an accountant for the Boston Red Sox Baseball Club. He holds a degree from the University of Massachusetts' School of Management with a concentration in accounting.

Orhan Gazelle is a Managing Director at Schooner Capital, where he works on early and growth stage investments. He has held board roles at several SaaS companies and other firm holdings. He earned a Master of Engineering Management from Dartmouth College's Thayer School of Engineering and a BS with Honors in Mechanical Engineering from Trinity College.

Peter Binas is Schooner Capital's Chief Investment Officer and a Managing Partner, where he leads the firm's global direct public equity investing program and has worked across its private and public investing efforts for over fifteen years, including helping the firm return to direct investing. Before joining Schooner, he spent nearly ten years at McKinsey & Company. He holds a joint JD/MBA from Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker scholar, and earned an AB in Economics and Social Studies from Harvard University.

Rachel Billings joined Schooner Capital in 2011 as executive assistant to the chairman and oversaw the Foundation from 2013 to 2018. Before that, she worked as a legislative specialist at InstaTrac, a Massachusetts legislation tracking web service. She attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Solita Im is an Accounting and Tax Manager at Schooner Capital, where she handles internal accounting, tax compliance, and reporting. Before joining the firm, she spent more than nine years in public accounting at Tonneson & Company and PricewaterhouseCoopers, working on tax matters for clients including high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, trusts, and private foundations. She earned a B.S. in Corporate Finance & Accounting and an M.S. in Taxation from Bentley University and is a CPA licensed in Massachusetts.

Steve Maiocco was Schooner Capital's Chief Financial Officer from 1996 to 2023 and a Managing Partner until his retirement at the end of 2025, now serving as a Senior Advisor. Over 30 years at Schooner he handled internal administration and the investment portfolio, holding board seats at portfolio companies including SRS Medical and Millstone Medical Outsourcing. Before Schooner he spent fourteen years in public accounting at Tonneson & Company CPAs, and he holds a degree from Cornell University and a Master's of Science in Taxation from Bentley University.

Ted Henderson is Chief Executive Officer and a Managing Partner at Schooner Capital, where he focuses on internal management and firm strategy and has led the firm's return to direct investing over several decades, primarily in venture-stage companies. He serves as a director at Brixton Biosciences and SRS Medical. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College, where he studied Mandarin.
