Investment thesis
Droia invests globally and exclusively in therapeutics companies focused on oncology and genetic disease. It targets young drug development firms whose technology platforms or scientific insights address previously unsolvable clinical problems and translate innovation into clinical breakthroughs. As hands-on investors and entrepreneurs with an in-house team of drug development experts, Droia supports companies from creation through clinical proof of concept, often taking interim roles and building companies from the ground up. Through Droia Labs, its scientific arm, the firm validates novel ideas and provides state-of-the-art facilities. Success is measured in patient benefit relative to the severity of unmet medical need and improvement over standard of care.
