Michael Koby co-founded 1315 Capital in 2014 and has spent his career as a healthcare investor and operator, previously serving as Managing Director leading healthcare investing at Palm Ventures and as an investor at Galen Partners. He holds a BSc from Cornell University and an MBA in Healthcare Management from The Wharton School.

Matthew Reber joined 1315 Capital as a Partner in 2017, having previously spent nine years at HealthCare Royalty Partners, where he was a Managing Director, along with earlier roles at Accretive LLC, Paul Capital Partners, Oak Hill Capital Partners, J.H. Whitney & Co., and Morgan Stanley. His investing work focuses on the pharma/medtech outsourcing and pharma/medtech product sectors. He holds a BSc in Engineering from Princeton University, an MBA from The Wharton School, and a Master of Biotechnology from the University of Pennsylvania.

Craig Matturro joined 1315 Capital in 2016, having previously spent two years as an analyst in the investment banking group at Leerink Partners, where he worked on M&A and private placement engagements for healthcare companies. While at 1315 Capital he served on secondment as Director of Business Development for portfolio company JDS Therapeutics, leading the divestiture of its Nutrition21 division and the acquisition of nutraceutical assets by its Bonafide Health division. He holds a BSc in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and a minor in Engineering Studies from Carnegie Mellon University.

Ian Li joined 1315 Capital in 2015 and is a Principal on the investment team. Before moving into investing, he worked as a healthcare management and strategy consultant at Capgemini Consulting and in quality engineering at Stryker Orthopaedics. He holds a BSE in Biomedical Engineering with an Economics minor from Duke University.

Jordan Brown joined 1315 Capital in 2020. She previously served on the investment team at Northwell Ventures, focusing on early-stage healthcare IT, medical technology, and healthcare services companies across sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio support. Earlier, she worked in biopharmaceutical business development and started her career in Piper Jaffray's Healthcare Investment Banking group. She holds a BA (magna cum laude) and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania and the Wharton School.

Brian Schwenk joined 1315 Capital in 2014 and has 14 years of experience in private equity and public accounting. Before that, he worked with Adele Oliva at Quaker Partners as CFO from 2012, and spent nearly seven years at Quaker affiliate Independence Capital Partners, most recently as Senior Controller. Earlier roles included audit positions at American Express Tax & Business Services, Stout Causey Consulting, and Arthur F. Bell, Jr. & Associates.

Jamie Richardson joined 1315 Capital in 2020 after more than three years at ProMedica, where he served most recently as an Investment Associate working on debt and equity financings of healthcare companies and handling due diligence, investment committee approval, and transaction processes for the ProMedica Ventures portfolio. He also supported portfolio companies on business and financial strategy. He holds a BA and an MBA in Finance from the University of Toledo, where he was an NCAA Division I golfer.

Russ Rapaport joined 1315 Capital in 2024. He previously worked as a Senior Analyst at Health Advances, a healthcare strategy consulting firm, where he handled due diligence and growth strategy projects in MedTech, Digital Health, and health information technology. Earlier, he interned at medical device startup Vayu Global Health Innovations and at MedTech venture firm Bioventures Investors, and he holds a BA in Economics and Engineering Sciences from Dartmouth College.

Ryan Kraus joined 1315 Capital in 2020. He previously worked as an Analyst at MTS Health Partners on M&A and financing transactions in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and healthcare services sectors, and before that held a Corporate Strategy and Business Development role at Pacira BioSciences. He holds a BS in Finance from Rutgers University.
