Ethan Mirsky is an entrepreneur who has co-founded and built two companies, one of which had a $1.2B exit, taking on responsibilities across fundraising, business and R&D strategy, organizational culture, deal-making, and partnerships. Gjalt Huisman is a synthetic biology specialist with over 20 years of experience building R&D organizations and moving scientific innovation toward commercialization. Dr. Jeff Roberts is the former Director of Advanced Energy Technologies at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, where he spent 27 years in roles including Program Leader for Renewable Energy and Applied Energy Technologies and Deputy Division Leader for the Atmospheric, Earth, and Energy Division, publishing over 50 papers and holding ten patents. Josh Silverman, Ph.D., is the CEO and founder of Windfall Bio, which develops nature-based technology to convert methane into organic soil nutrients. He has more than 20 years of experience in biotech research and commercialization, previously serving as CEO of Aromyx, founder and CTO of Calysta, and VP of Drug Development at Amunix, and has advised several climate-focused biotech companies. He holds a B.Sc. in Molecular Biology from UC San Diego and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Stanford University.
Michael Melnick is a biotech scientist, investor, and entrepreneur. He began his career as a staff scientist at New England Biolabs, co-founded the cancer research and diagnostics company Cell Signaling Technology (serving as VP of Business and Corporate Development), and worked as a Venture Partner at CMEA Capital, where he invested in life science, industrial biotech, and cleantech. He has held operating roles at various biotech companies, most recently BioAtla, and holds a B.S. and M.S. in Biological Sciences from Stanford University and a Ph.D. in Genetics from Harvard University.
