Christine is a partner at Burnt Island Ventures focused on bringing water technology innovations to market. She founded and served as CEO of Valor Water Analytics, which was acquired by Xylem in 2018, and subsequently held a Vice President role at Xylem for five years overseeing digital product development. She serves as Chair of the Cal-Nevada American Water Works Association.

Steve is an experienced investor and operator with deep expertise in water, energy, and climate. He previously held technology leadership roles at GE Water, sourced investments as a Partner at True North Venture Partners, and led multiple portfolio companies. He serves as founding board chair of Current Water and maintains advisory relationships with Imagine H2O.

Paul is an executive and entrepreneur with nearly 30 years of experience starting companies and launching business lines for software and engineering firms, including Sedaru, which was acquired by Danaher Corporation in 2021. He brings expertise in growth-stage companies, emerging technologies, analytics, and industry 4.0 for water. He has led M&A, supported funding rounds, and developed disruptive business plans for sustainable software and consulting businesses.

Paul is an executive and entrepreneur with nearly 30 years of experience founding companies and business lines in software and engineering sectors. He has led M&A activities, supported seed and venture investment rounds, and built sustainable businesses in water analytics and industry 4.0. He led the acquisition of Sedaru, Inc. by Danaher Corporation in 2021.

Wayne is a serial entrepreneur with eighteen years in cleantech and water technology, specializing in waste-to-resource solutions. He has completed four successful business exits in fifteen years, including the sale of OxyMem to DuPont in 2019. He serves as co-founder and director of Method Capital, chairman of STFC Innovations Limited, and holds advisory roles in the cleantech and water sectors.

Eliza is a second-year MBA student at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business focusing on finance and energy. She previously co-led implementation of a multi-million-dollar U.S. Department of Energy research program assessing offshore seaweed cultivation feasibility in southern California and interned at Propeller Ventures sourcing ocean-related opportunities. She holds a B.S. in Environmental Health Science from UNC Chapel Hill and is a Robertson Scholar.

Jennie has a background supporting sustainable business development in Afghanistan, Myanmar, and the Middle East, and advised entrepreneurs at The Entrepreneurial Refugee Network in London. She transitioned into venture in 2021, working at Towerview Ventures and the Ecosystem Integrity Fund where she invested across water, food, agriculture, waste, and supply chain sectors. She holds a BA from University of Oxford and MBA from Duke University as a Fulbright Scholar.

Jessica brings over a decade of venture capital experience to the team. She previously spent two years at Strut Consulting advising fund managers on operational excellence and founder/LP engagement, and over nine years at Coatue where she scaled events and experiences, growing the marquee East Meets West event from 40 to 350+ attendees. She holds an MBA from Pepperdine and BS from UCLA.

Marissa supports sourcing and scaling water entrepreneurs globally. She previously founded Eco-Design Labs, an education program for water founders and stakeholders across the Middle East and US. She holds dual bachelor's degrees from Columbia University in Sustainable Development and Jewish Ethics, an MPA from Columbia, a JD from Georgetown Law, and a Master in Economic Law from Sciences Po Paris.

Megan provides executive operations, scheduling, communications, and day-to-day coordination support to the Burnt Island Ventures team. She previously built her career providing high-level executive and operational support to founders, leaders, and growing organizations.
