He co-founded an IT managed services startup in 2000, later ran a Dutch SME-focused venture fund, and joined Golden Gate Ventures in 2013 where he leads growth-stage efforts including LP fundraising and portfolio management for Series B and later investments, having raised over $60M for the firm and its portfolio companies.

Three-time founder Paul Bragiel builds region- and sector-focused funds across Southeast Asia, Africa, gaming and early VR/AR, co-founding one of the first VR/AR seed funds in 2015 and backing unicorns.

A former pet subscription service entrepreneur who joined Golden Gate Ventures in 2014, Angela oversees portfolio management, fund administration and operations, sits on board and shareholder meetings, and guides founders on fundraising. She champions mental wellness in the startup ecosystem and previously audited financial institutions at Ernst & Young.

Jeffrey 'JC' Chua joined Golden Gate Ventures as an intern in 2015 and became one of its longest-serving members, sourcing early-stage deals such as BukuWarung, Rukita and Multiplier and structuring investments in Fynd and Fuse. He supported the GO-JEK acquisition of Mapan and is known for his financial modeling skills.

Jeffrey Paine is an Asia startup ecosystem builder—launching Founder Institute's first Asian branch in Singapore and early programs like Angel's Gate—who blends introverted, coaching-driven mentorship with AI engineering for VC.

Justin Hall joined Golden Gate Ventures as its first intern in 2012 and was promoted to partner in 2018, focusing on Southeast Asia's tech ecosystem. He holds a Masters in Public Policy from NUS's Lee Kuan Yew School and a degree in history and political science from Trinity College, Dublin.

Allen has over 20 years of experience in economic development and venture capital focused on emerging markets, serving at Endeavor and leading its co-investment fund Endeavor Catalyst. He is a Stanford GSB guest lecturer, a Princeton graduate, and serves on boards including Kauffman Fellows, Alter Global, STV, and Scale-Up Ventures.

An experienced legal professional who has advised sponsors, corporates, banks, and financial institutions on various transactions. Based in Singapore since 2022, Chen Yang previously worked at a NYSE-listed tech company on fintech and financing projects across Southeast Asia, and spent a decade in London working at top US law firms before joining Golden Gate Ventures.

Chen Yang Sia is General Counsel at Golden Gate Ventures. He has advised sponsors, corporates, banks, and credit funds on a range of transactions, spent a decade in London and worked at top US law firms before returning to Singapore in 2022, and previously worked at a NYSE-listed tech company handling fintech and corporate restructuring matters.

Christal Ng is an Associate at Golden Gate Ventures with prior experience in venture capital and investment banking. She holds a B.A. in Economics with a minor in entrepreneurship from Princeton University and focuses on working with early-stage startups in the region.

Cindy Tjing provides finance and operations support along with compliance reporting for Golden Gate Ventures funds. Outside of work she enjoys food, running, and cooking.

Dea Surjadi is a Special Advisor who supports portfolio companies with business development, partnerships, and co-investments through the firm's network. Her background spans journalism, PR, and marketing, and she co-founded an e-commerce software development house serving Indonesian retailers.

Mahesha manages investor relationships and supports the firm with fund formation and fund administration. Outside work, he is interested in cosmology and has toured internationally with his heavy metal band for 15 years.

Minh Do is a recent graduate of SMU Cox School of Business with a triple major in Finance, Data Science, and Operations Research. Prior to joining, he worked in business and partnership development at a MedTech startup, interned as a risk advisor at a financial advisory firm in Vietnam, and served at the SMU Investment Office as a liaison to Southeast Asian VCs.

Natalia Lientin is a Finance and Operations Assistant based in Indonesia, bringing experience from years at Big 4 accounting firms to support and streamline the firm's operations.

Originally from New Jersey, Nicholas moved to Tokyo in 2024 out of interest in Japanese culture and city life, and joined Golden Gate Ventures in 2025. Outside of work he enjoys playing basketball and chess.

Shemina Mekky is the Partners Executive Assistant at Golden Gate Ventures, with over a decade of experience in executive support, international event management, and investor relations. Based in Qatar, she previously worked at Banque Audi and PwC in Egypt and contributed to executive operations during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

After a post-exit backpacking trip across Asia, Vinnie Lauria built a venture fund to fill early-stage Southeast Asia gaps, relocated to Singapore then Vietnam, and earmarked one-third for Vietnam.
