Investment thesis
CDL is a nonprofit, university-based startup program (originating at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto) whose mission is to enhance the commercialization of science for the betterment of humankind. Its central thesis is that poor commercialization of scientific innovation stems from a failure in the 'market for judgment' — experienced entrepreneurs help novice founders set and prioritize objectives to derisk their businesses.
