Accelerate Fund

Arden Tse is an Edmonton-based investment professional who leads the team managing Accelerate Funds II, III and IV, which back early-stage tech startups in Alberta. He has over 20 years of investment management experience across asset classes including commercial real estate, public equities, and venture capital, and previously managed the University of Alberta's Venture Mentoring Service. He holds a Bachelor of Science and an MBA in Finance from the University of Alberta and completed the Certified Executive Coaching program at Royal Roads University.

Neil Frizzell has nearly 30 years of experience spanning legal work, executive leadership, advising, strategic planning and governance. For much of the past decade he has funded and advised Alberta-based ventures as co-founder and partner of Birchcliff Partners LP, and provided SME advisory services and acquisition capital through a private equity fund founded by Chrysalis Capital Advisors. He began his career as a corporate lawyer at Blake, Cassels & Graydon and holds an LLB from the University of Alberta, an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, and a BComm from the University of Calgary.

Yasmine Al-Hussein is an Investment Manager with Accelerate Funds II, III & IV, focused on early-stage Alberta-based technology startups. She previously worked as a Deal Screening Analyst at Startup TNT, where she conducted research and due diligence on startups and helped build a community forum for local tech and industry professionals. She holds an MBA in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from the University of Alberta (2020) and a degree in Business Economics and Law.
