Investment thesis
Oyster Bay invests exclusively in impact-driven companies along the food value chain, backing rare founders who improve the food system both economically and ecologically. Its scope spans agriculture, automation, robotics, biotech, innovative ingredients, and consumer food brands. The firm is highly selective, backing only one to two companies per quarter, and prefers to lead rounds from Seed through Series B. Its partners are former entrepreneurs who have built companies in the agri-food sector, and every team member invests personal capital into the funds, so investment decisions commit the whole team. Founders gain access to the team's operating experience, network, and food and food-tech expertise.
