Investment thesis
The fund invests in early-stage Canadian businesses developing technologies that contribute to a net-zero economy and align with several UN Sustainable Development Goals. It targets companies with capital-light business models, including SaaS, software-based and hardware-enabled software businesses, that are commercially driven and economically durable. Focus areas span sustainable cities, responsible consumption, climate action, clean energy, clean water and sanitation, and life below water. The fund seeks highly scalable companies with universal-applicability technologies and a compelling sustainability narrative that can attract capital and talent to become global leaders.
