Investment thesis
Eni Next, the corporate venture arm of Eni, invests in high-growth start-ups building the most disruptive technologies to support the energy transition. Its CCUS portfolio focuses on carbon capture, utilization and storage — technologies that prevent CO2 emissions from industrial processes by permanently storing captured carbon in deep rock formations or converting it into useful materials, helping reach climate neutrality where source emissions cannot be fully prevented. Beyond CCUS, the firm's investment areas span fusion, energy storage, sustainable mobility and hydrogen, advanced materials, circular economy, electrification and renewables, digital services, and critical elements including mining and recycling of electronic waste.
