Investment thesis
OCBC Ventura is the corporate venture arm of OCBC Indonesia, backing growth-stage Indonesian companies with capital structures tailored to each business. Its core offering is IDR-denominated venture debt for profitable companies with a clear path to repayment, avoiding foreign-exchange mismatch and ownership dilution. It also takes long-term minority equity positions where conviction is strongest, and provides sell-side, buy-side, and capital-raising advisory. The firm focuses on four sectors at the center of Indonesia's next-generation consumer: food & beverage/consumer, retail, wellness & fitness, and healthcare. It emphasizes deep local market knowledge of unit economics and personally reviews each pitch submitted.
