Christian Schattenmann leads energy access activities at Bamboo Capital Partners, focusing on off-grid energy investments and having led multiple equity and debt transactions in the sector. He develops investment strategies and oversees the investment process for several off-grid energy funds, including commercial private equity and results-based financing grant programs. Before joining Bamboo in 2007, he was CFO at PACT, a German semiconductor company, and an Investment Manager at venture capital group Pari Capital; he is a trained lawyer with an MBA.

Davide Mariani is an Access to Energy Specialist focused on project management of off-grid renewable energy solutions, working with Bamboo Capital Partners to deploy grants toward clean energy projects in emerging markets. A graduate of Politecnico di Milano, he combines a technical background with knowledge of energy finance, structuring and managing grant facilities for decentralized renewable energy systems across Sub-Saharan Africa. His experience spans the full project lifecycle, from due diligence and deal structuring to implementation and monitoring, in collaboration with local partners, investors, and development finance institutions.

Gervásio Mavengue is a Senior Investment Manager at Bamboo Capital Partners with over nine years of experience in Mozambique's off-grid energy sector, where he supports the +ENERGIA Facility, the Mozambican government's national off-grid energy access financing platform. He previously worked with Enabel Mozambique as a seconded expert at the National Fund for Rural Electrification (FUNAE), and spent seven years with GIZ's Energising Development (EnDev) and Green People's Energy for Africa (GBE) programmes. He holds a degree in Applied Physics and a postgraduate degree in Renewable Energy Science and Technology from Eduardo Mondlane University.

Hasina Rakotoarisoa is the Communication Specialist for the DECIM Fund, where she manages strategic communication and stakeholder engagement. She has about 10 years of communication experience across sectors including emergency response, health, and marine conservation, and this role is her first in an investment fund setting. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication from the University of Antananarivo and a Master's degree in Social Sciences from the Catholic University of Madagascar, and speaks Malagasy, French, and English.

Hery Tiana Razafitsiafajato is an investment analyst on the Off-Grid Market Development Fund, which supports access to clean energy in Madagascar via solar off-grid technology. He previously spent four years as a credit analyst at Société Générale Madagasikara and one year as a market analyst at the Talys group. He holds a Master's in Corporate Finance from INSCAE and a Master's in Financial Diagnosis from IAE Lyon – Université Jean Moulin.

Jean Claude Nkezabahizi serves as Senior Subsidy Manager on the World Bank-funded Soleil-Nyakiriza project in Burundi, where he designs and implements grant-based financing to expand off-grid solar energy access. He holds a Master's degree in Development Studies from Uganda Christian University and university certificates in Peace and Reconciliation (Colorado State University) and in Project Monitoring and Evaluation (Uganda). Over more than 16 years he has worked with international NGOs, United Nations agencies, and private sector companies in Burundi on fundraising, project management, and community programs.

Jean-François Péan is a Senior Investment Manager at Bamboo Capital Partners, where he works on the Off-Grid Electricity Fund in Haiti, focused on expanding energy infrastructure access in underserved areas. Before joining Bamboo, he spent nine years in development finance at the International Finance Corporation and IDB Invest, handling debt and equity investments with a focus on financial institutions in Latin America and the Caribbean. He holds a Master's Degree in Management with a major in Finance from KEDGE Business School in Bordeaux and is fluent in French, English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole.

Jose María Ortiz has served as an advisor to Bamboo since September 2020 through the firm's strategic partnership with Palladium. He is Managing Partner for EMEA and head of Palladium's Impact Investments, with over 20 years of experience working with government and private sector organisations across Europe, Africa, and India. He began his career at PwC and holds a business degree from ESADE Business School and an MBA from ESADE and McGill University.

Liva Jeannoda is a Senior Investment Manager at Bamboo Capital Partners, where she works on the Off-Grid Market Development Fund (OMDF) in Madagascar, which supports access to clean energy via solar off-grid technology. She previously spent over 15 years at Société Générale Madagasikara, where she gained experience preparing financing files. She holds a Master's Degree in Business from the University of Antananarivo and a diploma in bank management from the Institut Technique de la Banque.

Marie Puaux is Head of Impact Management at Bamboo Capital Partners. Before joining the firm, she worked in Corporate Social Responsibility at two multinational companies in France and the U.S., in sustainability consulting on social and environmental strategy, and in microfinance with an NGO in France and an MFI in India. She holds a Master of Science in Business Administration from ESSEC Business School, where she majored in Social Entrepreneurship, and speaks French, English, and Spanish.

Marie Testard is a Senior Mini-Grids Specialist on Bamboo Capital Partners' energy access team, where she leads the mini-grid financing and development program in Madagascar under the DECIM Fund, managing the program from pipeline development through transaction execution using instruments such as results-based financing and catalytic grants. Before joining BCP, she spent eight years at ENGIE Energy Access, serving as Head of Funding for mini-grid and solar home system financing across nine African countries and as CFO of the company's Uganda joint venture. Earlier in her career she worked in credit risk management and corporate finance within the ENGIE Group, as a business analyst at Thomson Reuters, and as a financial journalist covering European equity markets.

Masood Shariff is an advisor and senior consultant working with development finance institutions, foundations, impact funds, and investors. His work centers on strategy, structuring, and implementation of early-stage and SME investment and mezzanine finance funds, blended finance structures, investment readiness, post-investment support, local fund management ecosystems, and mobilizing capital toward the SDGs. His current roles include senior advisor on early-stage and venture finance fund design for the World Bank, strategy advisor for FinDev Canada's SDG Investment Fund and gender lens investing, and advisor on business incubation and SME finance in Central Asia for the Aga Khan Foundation.

She previously spent four years as an Account Manager at BNI Madagascar and as a Consultant at FTHM Consulting, where she worked on donor-funded projects. Miguel Sottomayor is BCP's Technical Team Leader in Mozambique, supporting the off-grid energy facility +ENERGIA. He has more than 15 years of experience across Africa, focusing on the design and implementation of financing instruments for the off-grid energy sector and rural distribution models. Before joining BCP, he led Mozambique's first Pay-As-You-Go solar home systems company and worked with off-grid energy companies including Engie Energy Access and Burn Manufacturing.

Moisés António is an off-grid energy specialist with more than nine years of experience in Mozambique's energy access sector, holding a postgraduate degree in Management of Renewable Energy Systems from Eduardo Mondlane University. At Bamboo Capital Partners he supports the +Energia Facility, Mozambique's national off-grid energy access financing platform, working on program implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and results verification. He previously served as Monitoring Team Leader for GIZ's EnDev and Green People's Energy for Africa programs, and has consulted on carbon credit projects tied to improved cookstoves.

Panayiotis Spyropoulos is an Investment Specialist on Bamboo Capital Partners' energy access team, where he works on investment strategies and their deployment across off-grid energy funds, including the Off-Grid Market Development Fund focused on clean energy access in Madagascar via off-grid solar. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Lausanne and a Master's in International Political Economy from King's College London. Before Bamboo, he spent four years at the International Trade Centre, a UN/WTO development agency, supporting SMEs in developing and transition economies.

Ruth Kinyanjui is a Middle Officer at Bamboo Capital Partners. She previously worked as a Portfolio Officer at The Africa Enterprise Challenge Fund covering renewable energy across Malawi, Nigeria, Senegal, and Sierra Leone, as a Credit Risk Manager at adOpes, and as a Senior Credit Officer at Guaranty Trust Bank. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from the University of Eastern Africa Baraton and is a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya, with experience across agribusiness, financial services, renewable energy, SME, and corporate banking.

Stewart Hicks is a Senior Operating Partner at Bamboo Capital Partners, where he concentrates on the firm's investments in India. He previously worked at GIC, Singapore's sovereign wealth fund, in its portfolio group advising on investments and serving on investee company boards in manufacturing, infrastructure, and natural resources, and earlier evaluated investments at the IFC (World Bank Group) in Washington DC, including 14 months in China supporting SMEs. He holds a Physics degree from Oxford University and an MBA from London Business School.

Thermie Niyokwizera works as Senior Subsidy Manager on the World Bank-funded Soleil-Nyakiriza project in Burundi, overseeing the design and implementation of a subsidy program for clean cooking production and distribution. She previously worked with GIZ and AVSI on empowerment, entrepreneurship, and marketing of renewable energies, and with HealthNET TPO on economic and social strengthening of vulnerable groups. Her earlier career includes 15 years with CARE International and GLID, along with roles at OXFAM GB, SOS Children's Village, and IRC, and she holds a degree in Clinical and Social Psychology.

Xavier Sabatier previously worked as a Manager in the Accounting and Tax practice of PwC Luxembourg, where he spent nine years on assignments largely in the private equity sector, developing skills in consulting project management, accounting and tax advice, corporate secretarial services, training delivery, and business development. In 2011 he completed training in international cooperation with the Belgian Cooperation Agency and volunteered as a consultant for the Belgian NGO FACE in Cairo. He holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Liège, Belgium, and is fluent in French and English.
