Investment thesis
CSV invests in early stage technology start-ups with high growth potential led by passionate founders. Investments are made via equity participation for minority stakes at reasonable valuations, with targeted check sizes of RM1M-RM3M per company. Focus verticals include internet and mobile technology, software and enterprise solutions, and engineering and hardware. Funding areas align with Malaysia's National Key Economic Areas including financial services, tourism, business services, electronics, retail, education, healthcare, communications, and secondarily oil/gas/energy, agriculture and palm oil/rubber. A minimum of 70% of the fund targets Malaysian companies with up to 30% for foreign companies, backing early stage companies showing a clear path to growth and profitability.
