Investment thesis

Mulago Foundation looks for founders with scalable solutions to poverty across healthcare, education, livelihoods, nutrition, and environmental health. It recruits roughly twenty new Fellows each year into a program that teaches design for impact and strategy for scale. It funds organizations that emerge with promising models, strategies, and teams, making grants (and occasionally debt or equity) as bets on exponential impact over time, and stays invested as long as there is compelling progress toward scale.
