It looks for excellent, motivated teams and companies showing initial traction such as successful product launches or developed sales channels. The fund only finances companies headquartered in Germany and invests across all technological sectors, excluding EIB-defined excluded activities. Coparion always co-invests alongside private investors who commit at least equal sums on the same terms, and can partner with national and international co-investors. It invests up to EUR 15 million per company, typically across several rounds of EUR 0.5-8 million, taking a long-term, non-opportunistic approach focused on increasing portfolio company value.
