DvH Ventures

Peter Richarz co-founded DvH Ventures, backed by publisher Dieter von Holtzbrinck, entrepreneur Sven C. Sixt, and Prof. Michael Grabner. He has more than 20 years in the German startup scene with experience in venture capital and company building, having co-founded several technology companies and previously served as Managing Director of Media Ventures, the venture arm of the founders of Ströer SE. He studied economics at the University of Cologne and at the UCLA Anderson School of Management.

Duc Quyen Tran, known as Kim, is a Partner at DvH Ventures responsible for deal sourcing and supporting portfolio investments. He studied business administration at the University of Cologne and previously worked in strategy consulting and corporate finance before joining crossventures as an investment manager overseeing its portfolio. He focuses on deep tech and education technology and related new business models.

Cihat Cengiz is a Principal at Dieter von Holtzbrinck Ventures, which he joined in December 2020, where he handles deal sourcing and investment and portfolio management with a focus on digital health. He earned a PhD in Engineering from the University of Cambridge, including a research stay at the University of Tokyo's Department of Bioengineering, and previously worked in high-tech and software R&D roles in Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Germany. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Business and Technology Management and a Master's degree in Engineering Management.

Maximilian Conrad joined DvH Ventures in September 2024 as a Visiting Analyst and now works as an Investment Associate. Before this, he worked as a Founder's Associate at start-ups, then in restructuring consulting on financial and operational transformations, and later in investment analysis at Simon Capital. He holds a Master's degree in International Business from the University of St Andrews.

Stella Heutz has worked in finance and accounting at DvH Ventures since 2018, handling back office processes. She previously completed an apprenticeship at REWE Group and worked at the Cologne-based incubator crossventures.
