Tom Heyman is an executive with over 37 years of pharmaceutical experience at Johnson & Johnson across Belgium and the United States. He serves as a board member of Akero Therapeutics, a publicly traded biotech company focused on NASH therapeutics, and holds the position of Executive Partner at Bioqube Ventures, a Belgian venture capital fund.

Debora (Debbie) Dumont co-founded Bioqube Ventures and brings a scientific background combined with venture capital and private equity experience, focused on sourcing and guiding biotech companies through international transactions and exits. She previously served as Head of Health & Care at LRM, a Belgian PE/VC firm, and held roles at Hasselt University's Biomedical Research Institute and the LifeTechLimburg life sciences cluster.

Dirk Reyn is Advisor and Managing Partner of Bioqube Factory Fund I with over 35 years of leadership in pharma and biotech. He began at Eli Lilly and Janssen-Cilag (J&J), co-founded and led Movetis NV to IPO and acquisition by Shire, founded Progress Pharma, and chaired Flanders.bio.

Joris Vanderlocht is Partner and CSO at Bioqube Ventures, joining in 2018 with over 15 years in academic and translational immunology covering cancer immunotherapy, autoimmunity, and immune deficiencies. He leads scientific diligence, supports portfolio companies and venture creation, and drives translational research toward early clinical development.

Nico Vandervelpen co-founded Bioqube Ventures in 2015 and is Managing Partner, previously co-managing the JLINX incubation model with Janssen R&D. Before Bioqube he was COO at LRM and a senior executive at Ernst & Young, and has led numerous life sciences VC and M&A deals.

Partner at Bioqube Ventures focused on early-stage therapeutics, who joined in 2022 with over a decade of life science investing experience, previously at PMV where he helped form, finance and exit startups such as GST, Bluebee, Dualyx and Flamingo Therapeutics, and earlier worked as an equity research analyst at Degroof Petercam. He holds a PhD in Bioengineering from KU Leuven and an MBA from Solvay Brussels School.

Alexander Demoulin joined Bioqube Ventures in 2017 and is a Principal on the investment team, working across sourcing, due diligence, portfolio support and new venture creation, as well as fund and business development operations. He previously managed the JLINX incubation model with J&J Innovation and advises the BioInnovation Institute Venture House program. He holds an MSc in Medical Biotechnology and Business Management from the University of Warwick and a Bachelor in Biomedical Sciences from Antwerp University.

Jacques Mizrahi is a Venture Partner at Bioqube Ventures with over 20 years of experience in drug discovery, development, and translational medicine focused on cardiac, vascular, and metabolic diseases. He has advanced multiple compounds through clinical development, including Phase III programs, and established translational medicine initiatives incorporating biomarker stratification across diabetes and cardiovascular indications. His previous roles include senior leadership positions at Roche, Eli Lilly, and GSK in drug discovery and clinical research, and he has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications while serving on journal editorial boards.

Tol Trimborn is a venture partner with experience in venture capital and private equity. His background includes expertise in business development, business strategy, and biotechnology sectors, with additional knowledge in cell biology and biochemistry.

Janine Schuurman is a scientist and biotech consultant with a PhD in Molecular Immunology from the University of Amsterdam. She spent over two decades at Genmab beginning in 2000, where she contributed to the development of six FDA/EMA-approved therapeutic antibodies and co-invented platform technologies including DuoBody®, HexaBody®, and HexElect®, which underpin multiple approved therapies. She currently operates an independent consulting practice and serves on the Board of Directors of The Antibody Society, having held the positions of Vice President and President from 2022 to 2025.

Sandy Zweifach is Chief Executive Officer of IMIDomics Inc. and serves as Chair and Board Member at other organizations. With over 30 years in life sciences, Zweifach has held CEO and President roles at three companies, raised more than $750 million in capital, and led mergers and acquisitions and licensing transactions valued at over $500 million, with experience spanning corporate partnerships, business development, and P&L management.

Sylvie Schrijvers is a Senior Executive Assistant and Office Manager at Bioqube Ventures with over 20 years of experience supporting executives and managing operations across recruitment, IT, and biomedical sectors. She specializes in agenda management, workflow optimization, and day-to-day operational coordination. Her background encompasses organizational planning, team coordination, and cross-functional support across diverse industries.

Clément Salque is a Principal at Bioqube Ventures, which he joined in 2022, working on sourcing, due diligence, and venture creation, and holding board seats at several companies. He previously worked as an analyst at Inkef Capital in Amsterdam, focusing on oncology and neurovascular opportunities, and earlier at Ipsen on a rare disease drug, where he gained regulatory and drug-development experience. He is a PharmD trained at Paris Descartes University and has supported three drug approvals.

Joris joined Bioqube Ventures in 2016 as Investment Director before becoming an Entrepreneur in Residence, advising the investment team and portfolio companies. He brings over 20 years of pharma and biotech experience, including roles as CEO/CSO of Facio Therapeutics and senior R&D positions at Johnson & Johnson, Movetis, and Shire. He holds a PhD in Medical Sciences from Ghent University and an MSc in Bioengineering from KU Leuven.
