bmp Ventures

Jan Alberti has served on the board of bmp Ventures since 2017, where he is responsible for acquiring new investments as well as marketing and PR. He joined bmp Ventures AG as an Investment Manager in 2013, having previously built the high-tech incubator GO:INcubator from 2007 to 2013 (as General Manager from 2010). He completed his doctorate at the University of Potsdam in 2010 and earlier held roles at HSBC and Siemens Healthcare USA.

Oliver Borrmann founded bmp Ventures in 1997 and has led it as Managing Partner since then. He has financed and supported over 150 startups and has experience from more than 50 trade sales and IPOs. He studied economics at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland, worked as a consultant at HBS Consulting Partners in Munich (1991-1992), and in 1992 founded bmp Management Consultants GmbH in Berlin, the predecessor of bmp Ventures AG.

Carlos Luis Figueredo has been an Investment Manager at bmp Ventures since 2025, focusing on startups in life sciences, deeptech, and healthcare. He began his career in Venezuela in the asset management arm of a multi-family office, working on secondary investments in late-stage private companies, and after moving to Germany worked for a startup consultancy and a VC fund of funds. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics, a master's in finance, and an MBA from HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management, and studied in Brazil; he speaks Spanish, Portuguese, English, and German.

Eike Böljes is Vice President People at Greenfield Capital, with over 11 years of experience in international IT recruiting and talent management across the startup and scale-up sectors. After beginning in a generalist HR role involving feedback and performance management, employee satisfaction, and recruiting, Böljes spent three years focused on talent acquisition in the SaaS and digital agency fields. Current work centers on developing people and culture structures within the blockchain environment.

Patrick Wolfram has been an Investment Manager at bmp Ventures since 2023, where he works on deal flow management with a focus on B2B SaaS and consumer products. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Bayreuth and a master's from TU Brandenburg, during which he founded a platform startup in the music industry. He previously gained experience at several Berlin startups and worked as a project manager at a VC-backed company.

Ywes Israel is a Principal at bmp Ventures, which he joined in 2015 as an Investment Manager. His investment work covers eHealth, ERP and eCommerce software, games technologies, cyber security, and industry technologies. Before moving into venture capital he spent 14 years as co-founder and COO/CFO of an IT company focused on eHealth and critical infrastructure security, and he previously worked at GoodVent Beteiligungsmanagement and IBG Beteiligungsgesellschaft Sachsen-Anhalt. He studied English and American Studies, psychology, and German linguistics at Humboldt University Berlin and in Keele, UK.

Christian Berg has worked at bmp Ventures since 1998, where he oversees IT infrastructure and software development. He also serves as the firm's expert for investment inquiries related to renewable energy and other technologies with a physical basis. He holds a degree as a Diplom-Physiker (physicist).

Cornelia Pape has worked at bmp Ventures since late 2011, where she handles the firm's financial accounting and supports the controlling of its investments. She initially joined to work on private equity fund of funds before moving into controlling, and has been responsible for financial accounting since 2021. She previously worked in the finance department of a mid-sized company and holds a business administration degree in finance and accounting from HTW Berlin.

Eva Schulz is an independent lawyer who supports bmp Ventures on legal matters, particularly the acquisition and sale of investments. She studied at the Free University of Berlin, completing her studies in 2000, and worked at a Berlin law firm (2001–2002) and an auditing company (2002–2004) before joining bmp Ventures AG as a lawyer in 2004.

Josephine Gantze joined bmp Ventures in 2023 as Marketing & Event Manager, where she handles the firm's marketing activities and events. She previously worked as an event manager across several industries and, after training as a retail assistant, served as a store manager in the fashion industry, including work on international expansion.

Malte Lindigkeit is an Investment Analyst who joined bmp Ventures in 2025. He previously worked as a Junior Analyst at BK Ventures, focusing on deal sourcing, pitch deck evaluation, investment committee preparation, and financial modeling, and supported several portfolio companies operationally. He holds a Bachelor's in Business Administration from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and a Master's in Global Management from ESMT Berlin.

Nina Werwatz has been Office Manager at bmp Ventures since 2022. While studying law, she works as a working student in the firm's Berlin office, handling administrative tasks and supporting the team with day-to-day duties.

Robert Polthier has been with bmp Ventures since 2004, where he handles portfolio controlling, company valuation, and fund reporting. He studied at the Freie Universität Berlin, completing his studies in 2001, and worked as a trainee at WGZ Bank from 2001 to 2003. He holds a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) certification from the NACVA in the USA.

Tom Haake has been a Junior Investment Analyst at bmp Ventures since 2022, where he analyzes and evaluates investment inquiries from startups. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics, with a thesis on stock price analysis, and previously gained experience in banking and insurance as a working student. He is currently pursuing a master's in business administration at the Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg.
