About

Dario Amodei co-founded Anthropic in 2021 and built it into one of the world's two leading frontier AI labs: its May 2026 Series H raised $65 billion at a $965 billion valuation, and the company filed confidentially for an IPO days later. A Princeton biophysics PhD (Hertz Fellow) who detoured through Baidu's Deep Speech team and Google Brain, he led research at OpenAI as VP of Research through GPT-2 and GPT-3, co-invented reinforcement learning from human feedback, and wrote the field's defining safety essays — Concrete Problems in AI Safety, Machines of Loving Grace, and The Adolescence of Technology. He runs Anthropic with his sister Daniela, its President.
