Arash Ferdowsi co-founded Dropbox with Drew Houston in 2007, dropping out of MIT to do it, and served as CTO through the company's rise to a 2018 IPO. He led engineering during the years when Dropbox's sync reliability was its entire competitive moat against far larger incumbents. He stepped back from the CTO role in 2016 and now invests in early-stage companies.
