Investment thesis
V-Bio Ventures backs private life science companies with differentiated technologies that address unmet needs and offer high societal or environmental impact potential. The fund focuses on therapeutics, spanning both drug discovery and drug development, and co-creates startups in addition to investing in early- to mid-stage ventures. It maintains a preferred relationship with the Belgian research institute VIB, building some companies on VIB-derived innovation, while also sourcing deals from other research institutes, entrepreneurial initiatives, and corporate spin-outs. The firm concentrates geographically on Europe and offers more than capital through its network and sector expertise.
