Investment thesis

Bear's Den is a corporate innovation accelerator operated by Hackensack Meridian Health to support breakthroughs in health care technology and delivery. A panel of physicians, network executives, venture capitalists, angel investors, attorneys, researchers and other experts meets roughly four times per year to review promising health care innovations submitted by entrepreneurs, VCs, ecosystem partners and the network's own team members. The program assesses about 200 companies and ideas annually, offering funding, strategic relationships, and potential co-investment from participating venture capitalists. Since inception it has funded early-stage health care companies with awards ranging from $250,000 to $1 million.
