Investment thesis
UntroD Capital pursues 'untrodden' territories with vast untapped potential. Long before the term 'deep tech' existed, the firm coined 'Real Tech' to describe transformative technologies tackling global and human challenges, and it invested in R&D-oriented startups to generate impact. It sees two kinds of frontier: domains that are scientifically, technically, or physically hard to reach, and domains made hard to reach by social, cultural, and cognitive bias. The firm aims to traverse both, guided by a sense of intent ('ism') and 'three Ds', helping pioneering work build momentum that ultimately drives broad societal transformation.
