Investment thesis
Scottish Enterprise is refocusing its work around three priority 'missions': building an internationally competitive energy transition industry, scaling Scotland's innovation strengths into high-growth industries of the future, and driving capital investment to raise productivity. Guided by the Scottish Government's National Strategy for Economic Transformation, it concentrates on high-growth opportunities where Scottish companies can compete internationally, with particular emphasis on the net-zero transition, offshore wind and green hydrogen. It works alongside partners across industry, academia and government to grow companies and clusters of scale, support innovation and R&D, boost exports, and attract international inward investment, all underpinned by commitments to net zero and fair work.
