Susan McDonald is Chairman and Co-Founder of Calculus Capital, focusing on investing in smaller companies and the UK's Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS). In 1999/2000 she structured and launched the UK's first HMRC-approved EIS fund alongside John Glencross, and she has directed investment into over 80 companies across a range of sectors. Before Calculus, she was Director and Head of Asian Equity Sales at Banco Santander and previously worked at Jardine Fleming, Robert Fleming and Peregrine Securities; she holds an MBA from the University of Arizona and a BSc from the University of Florida.

Richard Moore is Co-Head of Investments at Calculus Capital, where he sources, negotiates and manages investments through the firm's EIS and VCT funds and serves as a non-executive director of portfolio companies, including a role at True Group. Prior to Calculus, he spent 14 years in investment banking at Citi, JPMorgan and Strata, advising technology companies on M&A, IPOs and private equity raises. He began his career as a chartered accountant at KPMG.

Elizabeth Klein is Investment Director at Calculus Capital, which she joined in 2022, where she sources and executes new deals and advises several of the firm's portfolio companies. She has over 20 years of experience in Life Science investing, spanning equity research and investment analysis, and previously founded Klein-Edmonds Associates in 2015 to advise stakeholders in the UK Life Sciences industry, with clients including Radnor Capital Partners, Grant Thornton, and the Bio-Industry Association. Klein holds a BSc in Applied Biology, an MA in History of Medicine, and an MBA.

Alba Montoro is a Life Sciences Senior Analyst at Fenix Group International, LLC. Her work covers strategic analysis, market research, and competitive landscape evaluation within the pharmaceutical industry.

Jingyi (Vanessa) Wang is Head of China Office at Samsung Ventures, where she oversees strategic investments across the company's business units, including mobile, home appliances, display, battery, engineering, bio, and financial sectors. She has led China venture investments at Samsung Ventures since 2015, completing more than 20 deals and managing a portfolio of over 40 companies; prior roles include strategy consultant in Samsung's Global Strategy Group in Seoul, analyst at ABN AMRO investment bank in Hong Kong, and investment manager at China Development Bank Capital. Wang is a CFA charterholder and holds an MBA from INSEAD and a BBA from the School of Economics and Management at Tsinghua University.

Julie Ngo is Chief Operating Officer at Calculus Capital. She previously spent seven years as Head of Compliance and Finance at hedge fund manager Neuron Advisers, where she oversaw financial and regulatory activities including fund launches, restructuring, and the AIFMD transition. Earlier roles included Financial Controller at International Standard Asset Management, Compliance Manager and Financial Controller at Acadian Asset Management (UK) Ltd, and audit work at Ernst & Young and PwC. She is a Chartered Certified accountant and CFA charterholder, with a Bachelor of Economics from Hanoi Finance Academy and an MBA from Oxford University.

Krishnaa Bhat is an Analyst on the Media and Entertainment Finance team at Calculus Capital, which she joined in 2025. Her work includes tracking project performance, managing the closed-deals portfolio, and supporting the team, with a focus on media finance and strategy within the entertainment industry.

Aitian Li is an investor at Calculus Capital, focusing on B2B SaaS, life science, TMT, and manufacturing sectors across UK and Asian markets. With seven years as a generalist investor and three years specializing in financial due diligence for private equity deals, Li is a qualified CICPA and has worked on transactions from Series A through post-Series C via direct and Fund of Funds investments. Completed deals include Tencent Music Entertainment, Grab, Mobike, WeDoctor, Notify, Optalitix, Tagomics, Riff Raff Entertainment, and Wonderhood Studio.

Dominic Harris is Head of Portfolio Management at Calculus Capital, where he oversees the origination, structuring, execution and portfolio management of investments in mid-market businesses. His work includes developing and implementing business plans and collaborating with portfolio company management teams on decision-making and change initiatives. He has over fifteen years of investment banking experience in financial analysis, investment appraisal, valuation and modelling, and holds a Master's in Finance and the ACA qualification.
