Investment thesis
OCC backs early-stage companies, startups and spinouts emerging from the University of Edinburgh's staff, students and research. Investing from pre-seed through Series A, the fund focuses on deep-tech and impactful ideas aimed at benefiting people and the planet, supporting disruptive, ambitious and sustainable companies. OCC takes a responsible, long-term approach, working alongside founders, co-investor partners and the wider University ecosystem, and draws on a network of over 150 investors. It is a signatory of the Investing in Women Code, committed to improving female entrepreneurs' access to resources and finance.
