Thomas Malone co-founded three software companies and has advised large technology companies. He is the Patrick J. McGovern Professor of Management at the MIT Sloan School of Management, where he founded the MIT Center for Collective Intelligence and co-directed the MIT Initiative on Inventing the Organizations of the 21st Century, with work centered on how AI and machine learning affect business. He authored the books The Future of Work and Superminds, and holds a Ph.D. from Stanford University along with degrees in applied mathematics, engineering, and psychology.
