Investment thesis
Second Alpha Partners focuses on secondary market transactions, offering liquidity to founders, management, angels, venture and private equity funds, and corporate shareholders of private companies. The firm buys shares and convertible securities on a secondary basis, enabling stakeholders to realize returns prior to a trade sale or IPO. Its solutions address the extended timelines now required to build private companies and reach exits, helping founders take money off the table, allowing management to rationalize cap tables and realign shareholders, giving early investors early liquidity, providing discreet exits for funds and syndicates, and letting corporates divest non-strategic holdings or return capital.
