Investment thesis
Second Alpha specializes in secondary investing, buying partial or full shareholder positions from founders, executives, angels, VCs, corporate investors and PE firms, and also engaging in convertible debt purchases, recaps, pay-to-plays and restructurings. Founded on the belief that shareholders should not wait a decade for liquidity, the firm provides partial or full liquidity without forcing premature exits. It targets mature venture-stage, growth equity and middle-market firms with proven business models, at least $20M in revenue, profitability or a clear path to it, and a preference for highly-recurring revenue models. Second Alpha uses extensive data analysis to drive efficient diligence and better outcomes, and takes a supportive role in investor syndicates.
