Investment thesis
VegInvest backs early-stage companies developing alternatives to animal use. It focuses on three areas: plant-based food products, technology platforms, and innovations building a sustainable, affordable food system; biology ventures creating safer and more cost-effective alternatives to animal testing along with synthetic biology innovations; and plant-based, fast-casual restaurant chains serving the growing demand for healthy, accessible alternatives to traditional fast food. The firm provides both capital and guidance to support the founders it backs.
