Investment thesis
MIC has grown alongside the development of IT since 1999, when broadband and mobile internet services began spreading in Japan. As digitalization accelerated across all industries, its investment scope expanded from pure IT into healthcare, cloud, entertainment, robotics, mobility and more. The firm backs startups from seed through later stages, focusing on each company's core competitive strengths, which vary by product, application or service. After investing, MIC works closely with portfolio companies and coordinates internal and external teams to provide tailored support, which has contributed to numerous IPOs and M&A exits among its investments.
